Bob's pack had still not arrived - so reluctant to set out on something
big we decided to go up and visit Mt Kenya. We ended up doing a circuit
of the peak. This took us about 5 days.

At the National Park entrance - Loading up the gear - note Bob had
borrowed my day pack.

Above - Local wildlife. This monkey made off with some of my bread!

Above - The interesting alpine vegetation of Africa. Giant groundsells.

Above - We camped near this nice lake - unfortunately we all suffered
from the altitude (about 15,000 ft)

Above - Tony and Bob resting on the way around the mountain. Note the
hyrax - a clsoe relative of the elephant.
