Hazelbrook
South Side
These waterfalls can be reached from tracks that leaves the fire
road that goes from the end of Terrace Falls Road to Valley Road.
According to the Blue Mountains Geographical Encyclopaedia these
falls are named after a local resident, Victor Levitt, who was
enlisted in 1915 to fight in World War 1. The track to the falls was
constructed in 1916.
Old name - Woodford Falls
These falls are named after the steps or terraces in the creek bed.
According to the Blue Mountains Geographical Encyclopaedia the track
to the falls was constructed around 1891. This would have been the
steep zig-zag track on the east side rather than the track down the
creek from Victor Falls.
Below the falls the track continues down to Bedford Creek, but there
was also a second track on the west side that also goes to Bedford
Creek. That old track is now very overgrown.
I have seen some people calling this waterfall "Little Terrace
Falls", but that name does not seem to be appropriate since the
waterfall does not have a series of terraces.
Pyramid Falls lies in a separate creek to the other waterfalls. It
creek flows into Bedford Creek near the Bedford Pool. It is named
after the nearby Pyramid Rocks. They can be seen from the fire road.
There is an old lookout - but the views of the falls are now
obscured by trees.
Alternative name - Denham Falls
