Lawson
South Side
Like the waterfalls of North Lawson, all these waterfalls lie on a
loop track, except for Leslie Falls, which is in the same area
but is downstream from Federal Falls
Adelina Falls are named after Adelaide (Adelina) Wilson, the
daughter of the licensee of Blue Mountain Inn (licensed from 1845) -
born 1850.
Previously called Livingstone Falls.
There are twin waterfalls at the junction of Ridge Creek and Lawson
Creek.
Previously called Stanley Falls.
Junction Falls - Lawson Creek
Junction Falls - Ridge Creek
This waterfall is upstream of Junction Falls in Ridge Creek. I have not visited it.
Leslie Falls are on Lawson Creek downstream from the junction of
Cataract Creek. There seems to have been a track made to these falls
around 1900 which no longer exists.
Previously known as Bass Falls
The upper part of Cataract Falls
The lower part of Cataract Falls
Federal Falls are on Cataract Creek downstream of Cataract Falls.
Named in 1889 after a federal convention (so before federation).
Previously called Hay’s Cascade. Jose Hay was an instigator of the
parks both to the north and south of Lawson.
