Above - This giant piton and carabiner is a memorial to fallen
climbers and partisans. It is about 5 m high.

Above - My route - the Prag Route - left the valley and climbed
steeply (very steeply!!) - using cables and spikes.

Above - Strange karst country (karst is one slovene word that has
made it into English. Another comes from dolina (valley or
depression) which is doline in English)

Above - People on the way up or down Triglav. The summit is about an
hour away.

Above - Triglavski dom - very crowded! I stopped for a cup of tea.

Above - The mist cleared for a few seconds and I got this photo of
people on the way up Triglav. Very busy for a misty day!
