Balls Head - Storm Watching - 7 December 2014

Lately Sydney has had a series of impressive afternoon
thunderstorms. I decided to visit Balls Head near Waverton - as I
thought this would give me a good vantage point for some
photography. I missed the first storm (the ground was wet), but it
looked like a second one was on the way according to the weather
radar. During that storm I could shelter near my lookout under a
sandstone overhang. The storm was fierce but brief. It looked like a
third storm was coming, so while waiting I wondered around the
headland a bit. Its surprising how many old tracks there are. The
next storm was much fiercer - my refuge cave did drip a bit! After
that storm I stayed around for the sunset.
