Waterfalls of Sydney - Northern
Moores Creek Falls
There is a series of waterfalls in Moores Creek at Roseville. They
can all be seen from the Little Digger Track which follows the
creek. In the upper section of the creek, upstream of the golf
course is a nice waterfall.
Upper Waterfall
It may perhaps be called Llewelyn Falls, but
I have not been able to confirm that name.
The next two waterfalls are lower down. As you walk down
the Little Digger Track, it leaves the bush and you walk along a
road for a section. Then it goes into the bush again and there are
two signposted waterfalls.
Little Falls
Babbage Falls
This waterfall was named after Eden
Herschel Babbage, who had an illustrious ancestor. He was a
pioneer of reserves for Nature and public recreation in the
Roseville area.
Carlyle Falls
This is the last waterfall in the creek before it meets Middle
Harbour. I have not been able to confirm the name of the waterfall
by looking at old maps and newspapers. It is not signposted. It is
close to Carlyle Road, but so are some of the other waterfalls. This
reference from 1912 mentions a Victoria Falls, so that
could perhaps be the name of this waterfall.
