Rik and myself set off for three days to check out a few creeks. This area is great for canyon exploration. To have a worthwhile trip it is good to go for at least three days. Takes small packs and carry two ropes if you don't know the canyons. No bolting gear is needed - but you should carry some tape to use for slings if necessary. However - try not to leave slings at belay points if possible.

Not long after leaving the car we found ourselves in our first canyon.

Hokey Cokey Canyon

Another new canyon - this one also had three abseils. We accessed it via Pig in a Pokey Canyon

Canyon X

This canyon we had first discovered last December - but we had not gone down the top constriction. It was a beauty! A classic canyon with two abseils down a very narrow, deep and committing slot.

Resurrection Canyon

We had to pass through the lower section of this canyon on our way out

Spit and Polish Canyon

Our fourth new canyon was also a beauty - with four abseils in a narrow winding slot.
