Party - Rob Hynes, Dave Noble

It was a warm but dull day in the mountains. The canyon was a lot drier than normal due to the drought. The first duckunder was completetly dry - no water at all! When we finished the canyon we went out via the normal exit rather than continue through the "Greg" section of Wollangambe Canyon.

Whungee Wheengee is a long and beautiful canyon with some excellent sections of canyon. The canyon itself is not as sustained as some other canyons. Unfortunately - the lower  section of canyon has been marred by the placement of ring bolts on the top of the two abseils. These have been placed next to quite adequate natural anchors.

This is a selection of photos of the canyon formation.
