Bell Creek is probably the most spectacular  canyon in the Mt Wilson area. It has long sections of canyon - and they are deep and very dark. It has long pools of very cold water. Above, the canyon walls have over eons been sculpted into some amazing shapes. Its very nature - long deep pools and lack of light makes the canyon very hard to photograph well.

On this trip - we only visited the lower constriction. We entered Bell Creek via a small side canyon - Belfry Canyon - from the south.

Above - Bell Creek has no abseils - but it does have a few tricky places - like this one where you need to scramble down some boulders. Dave Os, Doug, Lou and Lizzy.

Soon we reached the Du Faurs Creek junction. We went upstream - up the lower part of Clatterteeth Canyon to exit via the short Joes Canyon
