Day 5
We leave our fixed camp and start to head back to the car.

After lunch, we leave Matt who was travelling slowly with his bad
ankle, and set off to explore a nearby creek

The canyon was again very nice and quite impressive but fairly
short. We climbed out and headed back to our packs and then
rejoined Matt further along the ridge where we camped.

Above - After 5 days wear - I examine some of our volleys. My one is
blue and Rob's is green. My one is the old style volley
international (and now no longer made) and Rob's is the newer type.
Both were new at the start of the trip. Both have similar wear on
the upper. (My laces have worn more because I was not wearing
gaiters, Rob was)
Above - the soles tell a much different story. Rob's sole (above) is
very worn. My tread is still very good.
Day 6
We head back to the car this day. I walk back with Matt, while the
others head off an explore another creek near our camp. They find a
nice, but again, very short canyon.
