After visiting Rocky
Creek Canyon, we headed off and set up camp at the head of The
Dry Canyon. Then in the later afternoon - we wandered down to the
canyon. Here are some photos -

Astrophotography
It was a dark, moonless night - so I set up my camera for some night
shots
Above - The constellation Orion - showing the Orion Nebula (M42) -
top left, the red giant - Betelgeuse - lower right, and you can just
see the Horsehead Nebula to the right of the topmost of the three
stars that make up Orion's Belt
Above - The Milky Way and two small companion galaxies (The Clouds
of Magellan)
Above - Between Sirius and Canopus - the faint green glow of Comet
