Our objective was to do a weekend trip out to Mt Jagungal and back. We
set off from the power Station at Munyang but had to walk a fair way up
towards Whites River Hut before we could start skiing. We did enjoy
some magnificent weather.

Above - After lunch at Mawsons Hut - we had to cross the Valentines
River. Recent rain meant that there were no snow bridges - so we had to
wade across. Here is Roger after the cool crossing.

On Sunday - the weather had changed - it was cold, windy and misty.
Alex and Roger set off early and climbed a fair way up the peak before
thick mist set in. Then, we packed up our camp and set off for Tin Hut
via a route near the Brassy Peaks that avoided wading across cold
streams. After lunch in Tin Hut - we crossed Gungartin Pass and
returned to Schlink Pass and Guthega Power Station on the Munyang River.
