Party - John, Chuin Nee, Jasper, Su Li, Brent, Dave
The plan was to camp at Goochs Crater. Chuin Nee, Brent and Su Li
were going climbing at Bung Crag in the South Branch of Bungleboori
Ck, and John, Jasper and myself joined the others at the crag in the
morning.
Above - Lots of these strange looking beetles were flying around the
area. This one didn't seem to want to fly - but it wanted to walk
around quite fast - so was hard to photograph! It is a Feather
Horned Beetle (Rhipicera femoralis)
Above - Chuin Nee on "The Last Supper" (15), Su Li belaying. Brent
watching.

John, Jasper and myself then went for a walk up the South Branch of
Bungleboori Creek - past a few more climbing areas.
Above - A Pink Flannel Flower (Actinotus forsythia) - we
found a small grove of these along the creek

Above - Jasper did well climbing up the big hill
John, Jasper and myself then walked back to the car and drove out to
the Lots City. None of us had been out that way before - and we were
shocked at the wasteland the road had become. Four wheel drive
tarcks everywhere - huge ruts, big deep pools of mud. Very
distressing!

carpark.
