It was a warm and fine day - but still early in the canyon season - so
we chose to go down the upper section of Bowens Creek (South Branch).
This is a very long and very beautiful canyon. What is more you can
leave the rope and abseiling gear at home, and there are no swims - all
the deep pools can be avoided.
