The Alta Via 2 - Dolomite Mountains Italy

The Alta Via (Alte Vie or Dolomiti Hohenweg) are a series of high level walks in the Dolomite Mountains in Italy. The Alta Via 2 is the one I chose to attempt on my first trip to the Dolomites.

I started out by myself on this walk and at the first hut I met up with Jon and Juliet from Mancester in England who were doing the same walk. I ended up doing much of the rest of the walk with them and enjoyed their company and friendship. We took 10 days to complete the whole walk.

Here are the sections -

Brixen/Bressanone - the starting point. I spent two nights in this town before starting out

Brixen to Rifugio Plosse to Rifugio Puez (Days 1 - 2)
Rifugio Puez to Rifugio Boe (Day 3)
Rifugio Boe to Passo di Valles (Days 4 - 5)
Passo Valles to Refugio Pradidali (Days 6 - 7)
Refugio Pradidali to Passo Cereda (Day 8)
Passo Cereda to Feltre (Days 9 - 10)
