Above - This section of the track was burnt about 30 years ago when a
well known local bushwalker lit a fire to burn toilet paper. The fire
got away and burnt out a huge section of the Reserve. Its a lesson to
see how slow the regeneration is.

Above - puffball fungi

Above - a very big and tall eucalypt

Above - small creek

Above - a last fungi shot

Above - the Watersmeet - near Cynthia Bay - very close to the end of
our most enjoyable walk.
At Cynthia Bay - we found the kiosk closed at 3pm in winter - so we
postponed our showers and enjoyed some hot pies. Then after a nice hot
shower at the nearby cabins - we walked to Derwent Bridge Hotel to wait
by the fire for our bus to Hobart.
