Wolli Creek Bird Survey – 3 May 2026

I took part in the monthly bird survey along a section of Wolli Creek Regional Park – between Girrahween Park and the Flying Fox Camp and back.

Here are some of the birds we saw along the way –

New Holland Honeyeater

Australian Ravens

Australasian Figbirds

Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo

We observed these small heap of sand in Girrahween Reserve and wondered what caused them. Probably some sort of insect?

Red Wattlebird

Grey Fantail

Golden Whistler

Spotted Pardalote

Brown Gerygone

Brown Goshawk

White-browed Scrubwren

Fan-tailed Cuckoo

During the survey, I spotted some fungi that ws out, so returned in the afternoon to photograph it.
