It was a warm and fine day - but still early in the canyon season - so we chose to go down the upper section of Bowens Creek (South Branch). This is a very long and very beautiful canyon. What is more you can leave the rope and abseiling gear at home, and there are no swims - all the deep pools can be avoided.
