The canyon had six abseils in all and was about 750m long. A very
grand and impressive canyon indeed.
Above - looking downstream from where we climbed out of the canyon
where the creek joins up with a larger stream. We visted the larger
stream the next day.
Above - John preparing a super dessert - white spider.
Day 4
Matt had injured his ankle the day before so had a rest day at the
camp. We headed out along another srubby ridge to explore another
small creek.

Above - looking down our creek - certainly a canyon!! A very deep
slot.

The canyon was certainly impressive but was not very long
Above - John next to a small tree - a stinging tree?
After this we climbed out back onto the scrubby ridge and then
started descending into another creek system.
Above - on the way down we got a good view of the canyon we had been
down the day before
Above - and we saw this nice but shy echidna
Above - John and Rik resting near a larger creek
Above - we walk upstream to a canyon that I had been down many years
earlier (and Rob had also visited before)
Above - we have to scramble up through the nice canyon
Above - it had several tricky climbs
