I joined Sue for an afternoon spent on North Head. We travelled by ferry to Manly, then caught a bus up to the Barracks.
We were hoping to see a lot of birds, and in particular some raptors. On my last visit to North Head, I had seen a Peregrine Falcon, but it did not appear this time. We did see a Sea Eagle, but it was the Humpback Whales that were most active.
From the Barracks, we walked to Lady Fairfax Lookout via the Hanging Swamp track.
