Valerie, Sue and myself were keen for a day outdoors, but strong wind was forecast. So we decided that Audley in Royal National Park would be a good shelter location to visit.
We first visited Wattle Flat, upstream on the Hacking River. Here are some birds we saw in the forest –

Back out in the clearing, we found a sheltered sunny place for lunch, and watched a Laughing Kookaburra –
We then crossed to the far side of the Hacking River, and walked up Lady Carrington Drive.

After a coffee stop at the Audley cafe, we headed up to the National Park office on the top level, and walked out along the Bungoona Track.
