Malabar Headland – 19 February 2019

This was a fairly quiet day spent in Malabar Headland National Park. It was a hot day and the birdlife seemed fairly quiet.

I walked from Maroubra out onto the headland. I saw a few small birds on the way.

At Magic Point, there were a lot of Welcome Swallows flying very rapidly around hunting for insects. Here are a few photos –

Further out on the headland, near Boora Point, I could not spot any Peregrine Falcons. After having lunch and waiting a bit more I headed back to Maroubra. It was good to see a some New Holland Honeyeaters, I haven’t seen many on the headland for a while.
