Wolli Creek Fungi – 3 July 2026

This was a short trip between showers to check out the fungi in Wolli Creek Regional Park. I did not visit a large area on this trip.

I found green waxcaps in a number of spots, but I did not find any of the rare species I had been hoping to see.

Clavulinopsis sp.

Cortinarius sp.

Russula sp.

It was when processing the above photos that I noticed some tiny cup fungi on the bottom right. Here is a crop –

Hymenopellis gigaspora
