After a quick visit a few days earlier, I decided to make a longer visit to Wolli Creek Regional Park – to the section near Bray Avenue and close to Hartill Law Avenue. This time I saw a much wider range of birds.

Here are some of my photos –
Sacred Kingfisher

New Holland Honeyeater

Scarlet Honeyeaters

New Holland Honeyeater

Satin Bowerbird

It was a warm day, and a Red Bellied Black Snake was sunning itself in a place I have seen one before.

With my long telephoto lens, I could not fit the whole snake in a photo, so I used my phone camera –

Little Wattlebird

Spangled Drongo

White Browed Scrubwren

Black Faced Cuckoo Shrike

Superb Fairy Wren

Scarlet Honeyeaters

Red Browed Firetail

It suddenly looked a bit worried.

A hasty departure.

A Little Wattlebird wanted the same perch.

And this is a White Cheeked Honeyeater. I had assumed it was a New Holland Honeyeater, and thanks to Michael Crawley for pointing out my error.
