I joined Brian Everingham and party from the National Parks Association of NSW for a very nice walk in Royal National Park. It was a hard day walk from Bundeena and then a loop around the Jibbon and back to Bundeena.
Some of us travelled to Bundeena by train to Cronulla and then the ferry over to Bundeena. This is a very pleasant way to go. At Bundeena, we met the rest of the party and were soon on our way walking along the Jibbon Beach.
And then we crossed over the headland, through the littoral rainforest.
At Shelly Beach, we stopped for a break in a shady overhang.

This Magpie has a nice grub –
We then continued on the track around Port hacking Head.
We stopped at the Aboriginal engraving site –
And then we stopped for a very welcome swim.
We finished with a Xmas lunch and refreshments in the Bundeena Community and Services Club before catching the ferry back to Cronulla.
Many thanks to Brian for organising the walk.
