Lorrie Graham Exhibition and Botanic Gardens Visit – 22 September 2026

I met up with Sue and Valerie at the cafe at the State Library of NSW in Macquarie Street for lunch, and we then we visited the Lorrie Graham Exhibition held at the Library. Lorrie Graham is a very accomplished photojournalist who worked for the Sydney Morning Herald.

Perhaps her most well known photo is the one above of former Prime Minister, Paul Keating, which was used on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.

The exhibition is well worth visiting. Lorrie Graham’s are true works of photojournalism. More than just portraits. Each one tells a story, not in words but captured in the image.

After the exhibition, we visited the nearby Botanic Gardens. It was raining lightly.
