Birds at Emu Green – 6 November 2020

This was a relatively quiet day compared to my other days at Emu Green. There were plenty of nice birds – but they seemed hard to photograph this visit.

Here are some of the birds I did manage to see –

Sacred Kingfishers

There were at least two of the birds around. I think they may be nesting in the area.

Rainbow Bee-eater

These birds were much more elusive this visit. I went to the place I had seen them before about 4 times. On one occasion, two of them suddenly appeared, and then vanished. Perhaps they emerged from a nest hole – and then went back in?

Superb Fairy-wren

Rufous Whistler

Golden-headed Cisticola

Zebra Finch

European Goldfinch

White-plumed Honeyeater

New Holland Honeyeater

Mistletoebird

Varied Sitella

Nankeen Kestrel

Brown Gerygone

Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike
