Oatley Park and Lime Kiln Bay – 11 November 2016

This was an easy walk and a very enjoyable day spent with two other David’s – Digi Dave and David Hufton.

We started at the lookout above Oatley Park, and spent some time photographing some of the parrots and other birds. Then we headed down to the foreshore and followed the nice bush track around a loop around the point.

On the way around, I spotted some nice Bonnet Orchids – the first I have seen this season.

After lunch, we farewelled David Hufton, and then set off for Lime Kiln Bay which adjoins Oatley Park.

We spent a fair bit of time at the wetlands – photographing the birds there – mainly ducks. Next we did the loop walk – down to the bay and along boardwalks through the mangroves and back around to the wetlands once again.

Part way along, we found a nice group of Flying Duck Orchids.

The more photography at the wetlands to finish off.
