I made another visit to Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside to photograph the birdlife. I had failed to spot the Azure Kingfisher pair on my last visit. Perhaps I would have more luck this time?
I had a rewarding day, although I didn’t manage to spot the Kingfishers, as there were a lot of other birds to photograph.
I spent a fair bit of time away from the ponds at the northern part of the Reserve – near a small creek. When I walked along the fire road here – you always hear a lot of birds but seldom see them. This time I chose a few spots where I waited quietly – and this worked. Sooner or later birds did appear and I was able to photograph them.
