Yeramba Lagoon Walk – 4 November 2024

This was another walk led by Brian Everingham for the National Parks Association of NSW. Yeramba Lagoon, in the Georges River National Park is a very pleasant place to visit.

In the morning ,we did a circuit walk around the Lagoon, looking at with trees, wild flowers and birds.

Here are some photos –

Channel-billed Cuckoo

It was being escorted by a Noisy Miner.

The upper part of the Lagoon area is rainforest. There are quite a few weeds here, but there are some beautiful tree ferns.

The circuit finished off around lunchtime, just before it started raining. So we headed to a picnic table under cover on the Georges River in the National Park for lunch.

Once again, thanks to Brian for organising and leading such an interesting and enjoyable walk.
