Chinese Garden Visit – 6 November 2019

One place I had never visited in Sydney was the Chinese Garden in Darling Harbour. I recently had the opportunity when catching up with an old bushwalking friend, Jodie, and her young daughter.

These gardens are very beautiful and certainly a very peaceful place. Entry costs only a few dollars. There is a number of paths to follow that twist around pools and thickets of trees and bamboo.

The garden also has attracted a fair bit of wildlife – especially Waterdragons and birds.

I saw a Magpie Lark gathering food, and then flying towards a tree. Later we found that tree had a nest with young.

On the way out we passed an area with an amazing collection of Bonsai –

It was great to catch up with Jodie and her daughter, and also see a beautiful place that I had not experienced before.
