I joined my friends John and Chuin Nee, their two boys Jasper and Sebastian and another family for a nice walk in Royal National Park along the Coast Track from Wattamolla to Eagle Rock at Curracurrong and back. It was a very pleasant day.
It turned out to be overcast all the day, but it was quite warm and very humid.
Setting out from Wattamolla, we first visited Providential Point with its great views.
A little further along we spotted a Peregrine Falcon –
The New Holland Honeyeaters were fairly quiet on the day –
Fringe Lily
We stopped at this nice lookout for lunch.
Little Wattlebird
We then walked over the hill to Curracurrong. A good place to sit down and rest and admire the views.

Eagle Rock
We spotted this rope hanging down the cliffs. Part of a fisherman’s descent route?
We then started to walk back to Wattamolla.
Beautiful Firetail
We could hear some Ravens, looking up, they were driving off a juvenile White-bellied Sea Eagle.
New Holland Honeyeater
Another White-bellied Sea Eagle. This time an adult –
We finished with time for a swim at Wattamolla and making sandcastles.
Many thanks to John and Chuin Nee for inviting me along.
