Birds at Tempe Wetlands – 12 October 2024

I joined there Tempe Birdos for their monthly bird survey, and this month I was in the group surveying at the wetlands.

Here are some of the birds we saw –

Little Pied Cormorant

Olive-backed Oriole

Dusky Moorhen

Grey Butcherbird

Channel-billed Cuckoos – there were two at the wetlands.

A Willie Wagtail is harassing this one –

Superb Fairy-wren

Pacific Koel

Little Pied Cormorant

And here are a few Dusky Moorhen chicks –

And this Dusky Moorhen was up a tree –

Here is a Grey Butcherbird nest (occupied) –

Pacific Black Ducks

Channel-billed Cuckoo

And as usual, the group met with the group surveying Tempe Reserve for morning tea after the survey.
