I had a pleasant visit to Barton Park and Landing Lights Wetland.
The highlight of this visit was watching a pair of foraging Buff-banded Rails.
But first, at the Landing Lights Wetland. The Pied Stilts were active.
And a White-faced Heron was hunting –

I then walked down the Spring St Canal to Muddy Creek.

Walking back along the cycleway/path, I spotted a Buff-banded Rail crossing the path. I sat down and waited with my camera ready.
I soon realised that there were two Buff-banded Rails. They were crossing the path to forage on the other side, then returning with food. It looked like they were feeding chicks.
Back at Landing Lights Wetland.
