This was a short afternoon bike rideĀ along parts of the Cooks River Cycleway, and I took my camera in case any birds were out.
At the Boat Harbour, I noticed a few cormorants were in the bird refuge. As I watched, more of them flew in, then more and more…. eventually I counted 68 birds. A large gulp!
Not much was going on at the Cup and Saucer Creek Wetlands. A few ducks were sitting around. Ibis preening themselves and welcome swallows zooming past.
As I headed home, I looked in again at the Boat Harbour. A pied cormorant had joined the gulp. It did look a bit out of place.
