This was another bird photography trip to Long Reef.

When I arrived, about lunchtime, I spotted an Osprey perched on the top of the cliffs. It was eating a fish.

I then went down to the lower level. It was high tide, and an Osprey was eating a fish on the beach.

Through binoculars, I spotted two more Osprey with fish. They were both perched in trees on the north side of the Headland. I walked around closer to them –

I went back to the beach. The Osprey was still there, but it was about to take off.

It flew out to sea with the remains of the fish, and then flew back.

I thought that with four Ospreys with fish, then there would probably be no hunting for me to photograph. I concentrated for a while on some Welcome Swallows –

Then, all of a sudden, an Osprey appeared flew a short way out to sea, then turned and dived.

It emerged from the water with a fish.

That was nice to watch!
Back to the Welcome Swallows –

And next, a White Bellied Sea Eagle appeared.

The Sea Eagle didn’t stay long, so back to the Welcome Swallows –
This one has spotted an insect. It grabs it.

Pied Cormorant

And a few more Welcome Swallow photos to finish –
