I attended the bird survey with the Tempe Birdos. This time I was in the group surveying at Tempe Wetlands.
One species we noticed at Tempe Wetlands were Hardheads. It had been a while since we had observed them at the wetland ponds.

We then joined the group surveying at Tempe Reserve for morning tea. This boat had plenty of Little Black Cormorants perched on it –
White having morning tea at Tempe Reserve, we noticed a Noisy Miner nest in a nearby tree. Adults birds from the flock were constantly bring food over to the chicks.

After morning tea, I walked part way home via the Cooks River. Here are some birds I saw along the way –
Little Pied Cormorant
White Faced Heron
Willie Wagtails at Gough Whitlam Park.
And I was pleased to spot a Tawny Frogmouth sitting on a nest at Gough Whitlam Park.
Further upstream, I got a fleeting glimpse of a Sacred Kingfisher but it flew off before zi could photograph it.
