Taronga Zoo – 9 October 2019

Friends had invited me to accompany them on a day at the Zoo. School holidays means the Zoo is busy, but it is always a nice place to visit. In our group was John, his two sons Jasper and Sebastian, Ruth and her two sons Joey and Sam. We all had a great day.

The youngsters were keen to go to the Seal Show, so we started there.

The Bird Show was also on the agenda. I find it a great place to practice tracking birds in flight. Before it started, I made a quick visit to the Langurs. There was a new baby!

Now to the Bird Show –

Then it was time for lunch. But some of the birds also wanted some of our food.

Then we saw the Saltwater Crocodile.

We also visited the Penguins and Seals. A young seal pup was swimming with its mother and made a nice sight.

I was keen to see the new Capybaras – large rodents from South America.

At one point, a Sea Eagle flew overhead.

And to finish – a few more animals –
