After a morning bird activity with the Mudlarks, I caught a train to Central and then a bus to Maroubra Beach. I wanted to see how the nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons were going and see what else was happening.
It was a good session. On the way out I spotted a distant Kestrel, and a girl pointed out some distant Dolphins.
There were some birds and lizards out.
At the Peregrine Falcon nesting site, I met up with Jan, who had been there since early morning. One of the Falcons was around – probably guarding chicks. Here are some photos of it –
Later in the afternoon we were joined by David, another bird photographer. After Jan left, we had a good episode of whale fin and tail slapping and then breaching.
More wonderful shots. Thank you.
