Birds at Tempe – 14 December 2019

I joined the Tempe Birdos for their monthly bird survey at Tempe Wetlands and Reserve. It was fairly quiet at the Wetlands, but some interesting birds were observed. This included a Nankeen Night Heron

A Rufous Fantail was also seen, but I didn’t get any photographs of it. Here are some of the birds I did photograph –

Eurasian Coots and Their Chicks

Superb Fairy-wren

After the survey, we all met up at Tempe Reserve for a special Christmas morning tea. And, thanks to Melissa, we also took part in a bird quiz.
