Dulwich Hill to Kurnell Ride – 27 October 2013

Christoph was visiting from Germany and was keen for a ride. The ride out along the Cooks River to Botany Bay and then to Kurnell and then back is an easy ride and quite scenic.

Most of the ride is along cycleways. We started on the Cooks River Cycleway to Tempe and then along a cycleway to Botany Bay near the airport, then right down the Bay to Captain Cook Bridge, over the bridge, then along some back streets of Taren Point to another cycleway that takes you to Shark Park. Then the route goes along the footpath to the Cronulla turnoff and then an on road cycle lane to Kurnell with the final bit up to the lookout in the National Park.

  1. Norbert Krause says:

The missing section between Shorebird Reserve and Atkinson Rd at Taren Point has just been completed with boardwalk and a viewing platform.
A great spot for birdwatching and photography.
    Worth checking out
