We had encountered a fair bit of rain and had cancelled plans for more distant trips. After hang breakfast with friends at a cafe at Springwood – a few of us set off down the nearby Magdala Creek to walk to Fairy Dell.
I was joined on this short walk by Dig Dave, Chuin Nee, John and their young son Jasper. The rain held off for the most part.
The track we followed goes all the way down to Glenbrook Creek and can be linked with walks from Martins Lookout or Sassafrass Gully. We only went down a couple of kilometres. This provided some nice photographic opportunities.
The Dell appears in very good condition when you consider that it is quite close to houses. There is a nice section of rainforest with lots of small cascades. Very beautiful.
