I got up early in the morning and walked down to the Cooks River at the Lang Street Bridge to take part in the monthly bird survey with the Mudlarks.
It was a cold morning, but we still spotted a reasonable number of birds. This months survey we downstream to Wave Rock at the Gold Club and then returned on the far side of the river. Here are some of the birds we saw –
Chestnut Teal
Magpie Lark
Caspian Tern
Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
Grey Butcherbird
Masked Lapwing
Crested Pigeons
Rainbow Lorikeets
Little Corellas
