An interesting occultation occurred last night. At 9:22 pm Saturn went behind the moon for about an hour. I managed to get a few photo using a telephoto lens.
Unfortunately some clouds obscured the moon just when Saturn went behind the Moon.
I took another photo after Saturn had reappeared.
These photos are taken with at 400 mm at 800 ISO at about 1/250 second exposure and f 5.6 aperture with the camera and lens mounted on a tripod. Saturn will next be occulted by the Moon in April 2019, visible in Eastern Australia.
