This was a pleasant day, where one of my brother in laws and my two sisters and myself visited the small town of Stanley.
Once there, we climbed the famous Nut. Its a steep climb up from the carpark – but not too long and one on top there are fabulous views.
On top, there is a circuit track. I think this is best followed in a clockwise direction.
At one lookout, I could see what looks like a Peregrine Falcon roost.
And in the forested part – there are a lot of Pademelons.
And also some forest birds like this Tasmanian Scrubwren –
outside the forest we saw a hovering Nankeen Kestrel –
After this we descended and visited the town – looking at the historic cottages and other buildings.
