This was an exact repeat of a fungi walk I had done the week before. Like the previous walk, I visited Ferndale Park and Blue Gum Reserve at Chstwood, then walked down to the Lane Cove River and walked upstream and then went to Macquarie Park Metro Station.

Hygrocybe anomala var. ianthinomarginata
The walk was the same and so was a lot of the fungi, but not all.
Ferndale Park
It was interesting to see what changes there were.
Hygrocybe aurantipes
On the previous trip I found quite a few of these. This time I could only find two.
Clavulinopsis fusiformis
Hygrocybe miniata
Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea
Humidicutis sp.
This is the Ferndale Park Waxcap – the one that changes from green to pink if conditions are right. You can see a pink tinge in the one above, while the ones below are fresh and still green.
Gliophorus graminicolor
Clavaria fragilis
Gliophorus viscidibrunnea
These were now out, in the same location I have seen them on previous years.
Gliophorus chromolimoneus
Hygrocybe batesii
Clavulinopsis amoena
Blue Gum Reserve
This was now better than on the previous visit with some nice fungi starting to appear.
Hygrocybe anomala var. anomala
Hygrocybe anomala var. ianthinomarginata
Plectania campylospora
Hygrocybe anomala var. ianthinomarginata
Hygrocybe austropratensis
Clavulinopsis amoena
Mycena aff. adonis
Lane Cove River
This was much the same as on my previous trip. I was keen to see the Gliophorus psittacinus that I had spotted on my previous visit. But the single species I found that time had now gone. No new ones had emerged in that location. In previous seasons I had almost always only seen this species in a very tiny area – about 0.5 square metres perhaps. But there was other nice fungi around.
Ramariopsis sp.
Clavulinopsis amoena
Ramariopsis sp.
Marasmius crinis-equi
Hypholoma fasciculare
Ramariopsis sp.
Gliophorus psittacinus
While looking for the tiny Ramariopsis corals, I finally spotted a Gliophorus psittacinus. It was tiny and in a very dark area. When I later looked at the photo, I could see there was a second one behind it.
Ramariopsis sp.
There were also lots of Corybas Orchids out –
Ramaria xanthosperma var.australiana
Phellodon niger
Phallus multicolor
Hydnellum sp.
Ramaria sp.
Cortinarius archeri
This had been another outstanding day of fungi photography!
