Tempe Bird Survey – 11 March 2023

I joined the Tempe Birdos for their monthly bird survey. As usual, after meeting up, the group splits into two, with one group surveying at Tempe Wetlands and the other Tempe Reserve. This time. I joined the group at The Reserve.

But before heading over to the Reserve, while we were gathering, we spotted a Sacred Kingfisher at the lower pond of the Wetlands. And a few more of the birds in that lower pond –

Dusky Moorhen

Pacific Black Duck

White-faced Heron

And now to Tempe Reserve.

After the survey, both groups met up at the Reserve for morning tea and a chat. It had been a pleasant morning.
