Birds at Audley – 14 March 2023

My friend Valerie, had visitors staying from France, and she had organised a picnic day at Audley in Royal National Park. It turned out to be a very wet  morning, so we picnicked early in the large shelter shed at Wattle Flat, then, when it had stopped raining, we could wander around looking for birds.

In the group were Valerie, Maurice and Eva – the two visitors from France, Brian and Faye, Sue and myself.

Here are some of the birds we saw –

Australian Wood Ducks

Australasian Darter

Little Pied Cormorant

Green Catbird

Satin Bowerbird

Sacred Kingfisher

Azure Kingfisher

Here it has a small fish –

Satin Bowerbird

Variegated Fairywren

White-throated Treecreeper

A Flycatcher

Lewin’s Honeyeater

It was a very pleasant day. Many thanks to Valerie for a lift down and back.
