Birds at Sydney Park – 14 April 2023

I was able to spend a few hours at Sydney Park in the afternoon. During my visit, it did rain for about 15 minutes and I had to shelter under a marquee at the farm section.

I wandered around the ponds seeing what birds were out. No sign of the Dollarbird – it seems to have headed north to warmer parts. I thought I heard the odd call of a Rail but none emerged from the vegetation. And no sign of any Tawny Frogmouths. So I had to concentrate on the waterbirds.
