While out on Malabar Headland, I was able to photograph a transit of the International Space Station and the Moon.
The series of white dots on the left of the Moon is the ISS. The above photo is a composite of ten of the photos I took. My camera was shooting at 30 frames per second. (1/2000 second, f 6.3, 500 ISO).
Below is a single photo. The small white dot of the ISS is hard to see and emphasised in the lower photo. When I took the photos I was not sure if the ISS would be visible in the daylight. The photos were taken a little after 9:28 am. I certainly could not see the ISS in the camera viewfinder. But I could see the Moon – so knew where to aim. All I did was take some series of photos a few seconds after 9:28 am.
I used the ISS Transit Finder website to predict the transit.
